As a proud member of the Arlington County Fire & Rescue Association (ACFRA), the Cherrydale Volunteer Fire Department is dedicated to serving Arlington County with excellence and commitment. Our mission is to support the Arlington County Fire Department by providing additional personnel, resources, and apparatus to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.
OUR VOLUNTEERS.
Our dedicated administrative and operational volunteers play a crucial role in supplementing the career Arlington County Fire Department. After completing the necessary training and certifications, our volunteer firefighters and EMTs are authorized to ride with career crews on various apparatus, subject to the station captain’s approval. Additionally, volunteers may staff volunteer-owned units, providing essential support during emergencies.
